Performance & Safety
• Compact woven sheath prevents premature wear by keeping fibres densely packed and stable.
• Minimal elongation ensures excellent control, accuracy and stability during lifting.
• Optimised D/d ratio ensures that the sling fits accessories correctly, improving load distribution, controlling pressure on fibres, and minimising the risk of damage or cutting.
• This results in safer and more reliable lifting operations.
Lightweight & Easy to Handle
The UHMWPE roundsling offers a significant ergonomic advantage:
• 5 to 7 times lighter than a steel sling,
• 2 times lighter than a polyester sling,
• it floats on water for improved handling in marine environments.
This dramatic weight reduction simplifies transport and positioning while improving worker ergonomics and reducing the number of operators required.
Protective Sleeves (Optional)
To extend service life, PMS Industrie offers a range of protective sleeves adapted to the abrasiveness of the load:
• Compliant with EN 1492‑2: 2000 + A1: 2008, which recommends protection in the presence of sharp edges or abrasive surfaces.
• Sleeves reduce friction during lifting and protect both the sling and the load.
• Available in several thicknesses (PRO, PRO+, Expert) and multiple configurations (with/without Velcro, stitched or sliding).
Repairable Design
In the event of damage, the sleeve and/or seam can be repaired, avoiding complete replacement of the sling.
This provides:
